Unlocking Legend Island quickly in Forza Horizon 6 mostly comes down to one thing: reaching the Gold Wristband as fast as possible. While there are a few community-discovered tricks floating around online, the real speed comes from optimizing your Horizon Festival point grind instead of randomly driving around the map.
After spending time testing different routes and event types, these are the methods that consistently push progression forward the fastest without wasting hours.
Legitimate Fast Progression Strategy
The fastest route to Legend Island is built around maximizing Horizon Festival points per minute. Some activities simply reward far more progression than others, so it helps to focus only on the highest-value content early on.
Filter Your Map by “Recommended”
One of the easiest mistakes players make is bouncing between random icons on the map. Instead, open the world map and filter exclusively by “Recommended” activities.
These events are usually tied directly to campaign progression and wristband advancement, meaning they give better returns than casual exploration content. Following the Recommended chain also reduces unnecessary travel time.
Use the PR Stunt Shortcut
A huge shortcut for progression is farming PR Stunts.
Many players are using the Ultima Evo because it dominates most early-game speed objectives. With the popular community tune setup (Share Code: 134 175 527), you can clear Speed Traps, Danger Signs, and Drift Zones with minimal effort.
Even partial completion matters. You do not always need 3 stars. Getting 1 or 2 stars still contributes toward your progression and stacks up surprisingly fast.
This is especially useful because PR Stunts can often be completed in under a minute.
Take Photos Constantly
This sounds minor at first, but the Photo Mode bonuses add up quickly.
At the start of races, take a quick photo of any unique cars nearby. Every newly registered vehicle helps fill your collection journal and awards easy points with almost no effort involved.
It becomes free progression while you are already moving through events naturally.
Spam Drag Meets and Time Attacks
If your goal is pure efficiency, Drag Meets and Time Attack circuits are some of the best content in the game.
These events are short, repeatable, and award strong progression across multiple car classes. Running different categories back-to-back lets you stack several hundred Horizon Festival points very quickly.
Compared to longer road races, the time-to-reward ratio is much better.
Lower the Difficulty
A lot of players waste time retrying races on higher Drivatar settings.
If your only goal is unlocking Legend Island quickly, reduce the AI difficulty and secure consistent wins. The game rewards victories heavily, and there is no major penalty for using easier opponents during progression.
Reliable wins are more important than pride during the early grind.
Finish the Horizon Legend Event
Once you finally reach the Gold Wristband requirement, the game directs you toward the Horizon Legend finale at Ito Airfield.
Complete this event and the barrier to Legend Island officially opens.
This also unlocks the massive Goliath Race, which becomes one of the best late-game money and XP farms in FH6.
The Boundary Exploit (“The Pause Hack”)
Some players discovered a strange exploit that lets you briefly access the island before officially unlocking it.
This does not permanently unlock Legend Island, but it can allow early exploration or help with road discovery progress.

Drive directly to the blocked entrance of Legend Island.
Open the world map and zoom in closely.
Look for a tiny visible sliver of discovered road behind the barrier.
Fast travel onto that tiny section.
The game will attempt to force-teleport you out immediately.
As soon as you spawn, repeatedly spam the Pause button while accelerating forward.
The constant pause interruptions briefly confuse the out-of-bounds reset system, giving you tiny movement windows between teleports.
If timed correctly, you can move deeper onto the island before the game fully pushes you back.
Is the Pause Hack Worth Using?
Honestly, only a little.
It is amusing for exploration and can help uncover roads early, but it does not replace the actual unlock requirements. Most activities on Legend Island remain inaccessible until you properly complete the Horizon Legend progression.
For most players, focusing on efficient Horizon Festival grinding is still the fastest and most reliable path.
The quickest way to unlock Legend Island is not about grinding endlessly. It is about avoiding low-value activities and targeting the events that generate the most Festival points in the shortest amount of time.
PR Stunts, Drag Meets, Time Attacks, and Recommended events will carry you to the Gold Wristband much faster than standard free-roam gameplay.
