The 49ers are giving Deebo Samuel plenty of reasons to continue serving Patrick Williams Jersey  as a weapon out of the backfield in 2022.San Francisco signed Samuel to that contained a whopping $58.1 millionin guarantees, the most ever given to a wide receiver.However, the most notable part of the deal comes in the form of incentives that should make the 26-year-old want to run the ball a little bit more.San Francisco included within Samuel's contract yearly incentives worth up to$650,000 that are based on his performance as a runner. Specifically, they are tied to total rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.MORE: If Samuel runs for 380 or more yards in a season, he will receive a bonus of $650,000. If he fails to record 380-plus rushing yards but scores three rushing touchdowns, he receives $150,000. The incentives are capped at $650,000, so if Samuel does both, he will still receive just $650,000.Samuel's contract extension kicks in during the 2023 NFL season, so he will only be eligible to earn these incentives during three of the four years remaining on his deal. In total, he can earn up to $1.95 million in extra funds if he continues to be utilized as a running back.Samuel recorded 365 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 59 carries during the 2021 NFL regular season. However, most of that production came in the second half of the season, as he had just six carries for 22 yards in the first eight games. So, the 380 yards and three touchdown markers should be within reach.MORE: It will be interesting to see if Samuel is willing to legitimately pursue those contract incentives. It was reported during the offseason that he was frustrated with the way the 49ers used him late in the 2021 NFL season and 2022 playoffs. The receiver ended up serving as one of the team's leading rushers during its run to the NFC championship game but as a between-the-tackles option.Samuel's frustration with his role was part of what initially led him to away from the 49ers during the 2022 NFL offseason before the two sides made up.
